Britain’s Got Talent 2009 winner is the Dance Troupe Diversity while Susan Boyle took second (2nd) place in the talent competition. Diversity will go home with 100,000 pound ($159,000) prize and the chance to perform before Queen Elizabeth II at the Royal Variety Show. While Boyle on the other hand who became an internet sensation after singing “I Dreamed A Dream” from “Les Miserables ” will get a record a deal.
Britain’s Got Talent 2009 Winner: Dance Troupe Diversity
The ten person dance troupe, Diversity, from Essex and London received the most public votes in the competition, beating Scottish singer and overwhelmingly noted favorite Susan Boyle who came in second place. Diversity’s own choreographer, Ashley Banjo, was so shocked by the result, he said “When you said our name I thought I was dreaming. Everyone who has voted – you have changed our lives”. The dance troupe Diversity have only been together since 2007 but with members aged 12-25 they wowed the Britain’s Got Talent judges with their flawless ‘transformer’ dance routine.
