UFC 100 Lesnar vs Mir 2

This fight event is scheduled on July 11, 2009 Saturday 7pm PT and 10pm ET live on Pay-Per-View (PPV) from the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Nevada.

In one of the most highly anticipated rematches in UFC heavyweight history, world champion Brock Lesnar meets former conqueror and interim titlist Frank Mir in an effort to redeem his lone Octagon loss. Since Mir locked up the 265 lb Lesnar in February of 2008, both men have been riding waves of momentum that have made this fight inevitable.

In their first fight last February 2, 2008,  Frank Mir, coming from a motorcycle accident,  defeated Brock Lesnar, who is making his debut in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Lesnar dominated the almost the entire match until he got caught by Mir in a leg lock.

But Lesnar  has bounced back after that lost as he shut down his doubters by beating Heath Herring via unanimous decision in UFC 87.  Herring was beaten and ended up with a bloody face. Then, Lesnar beat Couture in UFC 91 and became the UFC heavyweight champion.

Meanwhile, Frank Mir was able to have a fight back at UFC 92 against the UFC interim heavyweight champion Brazilian Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira wherein he defeated Nogueira via 2nd round TKO to become the new UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion and also became the first fighter ever to finish the legendary Brazilian.

Lesnar-Mir first (1st) fight was legendary because of its questions. Now, the second fight will be historic because of its answers.

So, Can Lesnar takes his revenge against Mir this time in their grudge rematch? Can Lesnar erase his lone disappointment and continue his dominance or will Mir prove that skill and will can still tackle strength.
