Billy Crystal will play an exhibition game for the New York Yankees. Yes you read it right. The name Billy Crystal rang a bell when I read his name and I thought that he has something to do with the Oscars. I thought yeah he used to host the prestigious Oscar Awards before. He had for quite a number of years. Anyway, he would be wearing pinstripes and is expected to look marvelous in it when he plays on Thursday’s exhibition game which is a day before his 60th birthday and he is said to wear the #60 uniform for that game. He still will sign a one day minor league contract with the Yankees who will play against the Pirates. Billy Crystal has been an avid fan of the Yankees. Watching My Big Love from Star Cinema at the favorite NCCC Mall Cinema (C2) is in for those who simply wanna watch a feel good romantic Filipino movie on a weekend especially on a Saturday night. A story of love in all shapes and sizes. The usual love team onscreen of Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga is a click to movie goers as the 8PM which is the second to the last showing at NCCC Cinema was full and those who were to watch the last full show had to wait in line until the end and after people have come out before they can get inside Cinema 2. For a first timer to line there waiting on line for almost an hour, it would have been boring and tiring standing there if not for having a companion. It was a funny movie but somehow a predictable. It also has some scenes in the trailer that were not shown in the movie. But well it was a good enough to relax after a busy week. Continue reading »»»

I was surprised to read that Prince Harry is in Afghanistan serving on the front line with his British army unit. I would not believe it at first until I read the news myself. Harry is said to be the first among the British Royals to serve in the combat zone. Prince Andrew, his uncle flew helicopters in 1982 during the war of Britain with Argentina over the Falkland Islands.

The news was being blocked if possible from public knowledge to protect the safety of Harry and his unit. British officials is hoping that this will remain a secret but a video from the Drudge Report, a U.S. website, leaked out showing Harry serving in Helmand Province. It was not really a secret but only the date of deployment was not revealed. He was deployed on the eve of Christmas last year. He is still in Afghanistan as of this writing but I saw on CNN that he will be brought home immediately as it is not safe for him there since the news has leaked out already.

Oh my! Oprah Winfrey has endorsed another new book for her Oprah’s Book Club and her pick is “A New Earth: Awakening To Your Life’s Purpose” which is a spiritual help guide by author Eckhart Tolle. Would you believe that it has sold about 3.5 million copies already and in Amazon.com it has become the best-seller already as soon as Oprah made the announcement in her Oprah Winfrey Show four weeks ago. Oprah will spend ten weeks talking to author Tolle and hundreds of thousands of people from various countries worldwide who have registered for a web seminar that is of course going to feature the book author Tolle and Ms. Oprah Winfrey.
