Watching My Big Love from Star Cinema at the favorite NCCC Mall Cinema (C2) is in for those who simply wanna watch a feel good romantic Filipino movie on a weekend especially on a Saturday night. A story of love in all shapes and sizes. The usual love team onscreen of Sam Milby and Toni Gonzaga is a click to movie goers as the 8PM which is the second to the last showing at NCCC Cinema was full and those who were to watch the last full show had to wait in line until the end and after people have come out before they can get inside Cinema 2. For a first timer to line there waiting on line for almost an hour, it would have been boring and tiring standing there if not for having a companion. It was a funny movie but somehow a predictable. It also has some scenes in the trailer that were not shown in the movie. But well it was a good enough to relax after a busy week.
Pastry chef Macky (Sam Milby) has struggled with his weight for most of his life. It’s not easy being fat, especially when you’re in love with a young socialite columnist named Niña (Kristine Hermosa). He has been her constant secret admirer, surprising Niña every time with cakes and flowers. Everything is going well until Niña meets Macky, who gets the shock of her life when she sees Macky in his 300-pound glory.
Then comes Aira (Toni Gonzaga), the ever-vibrant fitness instructor who knows how to motivate her clients well. Being the breadwinner of the family, she has to double her effort to meet their daily needs. After a number of failed attempts, Macky finally agrees to be her client. In the process of losing weight, the two gained love and affection for each other.
Aira then agrees to accept an offer to work abroad, separating the two. Two years pass and the Macky who was once laughed at is now one of the most sought-after bachelors in town. Unfortunately, his heart is now owned by her ultimate fantasy - Niña. But an untimely encounter with Aira reminds Macky of his happy old days. Sam Milby’s fat suit in “My Big Love” was specially designed by Hollywood Special Effects expert Mr. xxx. “At the start, the mask kept on melting and sliding off my face due to excessive perspiration—it was so hot in there!. ummm just wanted to ask if you know the title of the song that was playing on the club scene? the lyrics goes “we are in love.. just wanna be with you no matter what we will do..” i’ve search it in google already but there’s no results.. hope you could help me^^
